Turn around who do you see
this is who your partner will be

Tlk to your partner
say G'day
they wont go empty handed today

Hold them tight by the waist
now spin around without any haste

Say good-bye
its time to swap
so let them go so someone else

Turn around and meet some eyes
who's eyes are those
they're your new partners
so take hold of them now
bring them in nice and close

whisper to them your name
and now we'll play a different game

The beat is faster now
so dance, dance, dance
it doesn't matter how

You talk, you dance
you realise, the music has gone
that does not matter though
you both dance on

the beat it's gone
it faded away
you've both been dancing all night

Now it is past midnight
Return to a camp site
sit, side by side in the fire light
talk to your partner until break of day

Soon it will be time to part
the realisation near breakes your heart

You talked to her and she talked back
did it mean anything or was it idle chat
now you sit in silence
wanting atlest one more dance

You ask your partner one more question...

you ask her if she'll be back
and whether she would want to dance
with you through night and day

she didnt answer, she just stares
from you then to the fire
she is not sure if she too want's more
if only she knew her own desire.

She knew that the next year she would return
she just had a lesson in trust left to learn
