Parking At Abbey Wood Poem by Edwin Hopper

Parking At Abbey Wood

I’ve always worked for the greater good.
Of course Buckingham Palace know my name,
But I’ve never found parking at Abbey Wood

I’ve read all books by Sabine Baring Gould.
To be a billionaire is my aim.
I’ve always worked for the greater good.

I am never ever misunderstood.
Spin doctors all greet me with acclaim,
But I’ve never found parking at Abbey Wood.

The paparazzi hatred I’ve withstood.
I won’t name the film star who’s my old flame.
I’ve always worked for the greater good.

I brought Iraq safely to nationhood.
I never take the blame, and I’ve got no shame,
But I’ve never found parking at Abbey Wood.

I show the great and good, how they should,
not care who they maim. Small folk, are fair game.
I’ve always worked for the greater good,
But I’ve never found parking at Abbey Wood.
