Panama Pat Poem by Juan Olivarez

Panama Pat

The fat rat and the mouse,
Were chased out of the house.
By a big ole fat cat,
Name of Panama Pat.

Panama Pat was a big fat cat,
Who always wore a panama hat.
He ran headlong into a dog,
That was sitting outside on a hollow log.

Then Panama pulled his switchblade claw,
But the dog was wise to that.
In Panama's defense he saw a flaw,
And ran away with Panama's hat.
