Over The Edge Poem by taylor wiebe

Over The Edge

anger full-fills me
as I near the cliff
toes over the edge
I jump and feel no lift
faster and faster I fall
towards the ground I go
I can’t believe I’ve lost it all
I never saw it coming
I had everything wrong
its the pounding in my head
the constant drumming
its the light I can’t reach
to turn off everything bad in my life
this lesson is impossible to teach
you learn from your experiences
of right and wrong
yes and no
I don’t know how you were raised
or what morals you were taught
cause I don’t know you anymore
you lie you cheat
you hurt everyone
and anyone who ever cared for you
all because u were scared of getting beat
well the race is over
I’ve hit the ground
face first
the blackness swallowed me whole.
