The pain I'm feeling deep inside
Is really nothing new
The pain is cause by love
A love that never grew

I know I tried my best
When it came to loving you
But I guess my best
Just couldn't help us through

So as you walk away
To start the rest of your life
When it comes to us
Please, don't even think twice

I thought you were the woman
Who was meant for me
But now I know
That we'll never be

Losing someone that you love
Is a pain that hurts so deep
Maybe that's the reason why
People find love so hard to keep

I was ready to take a chance with you
And open up my heart
But the saddest thing of all
Is we never really got to start
