The transcendental tendency,
the splendid cosmic vision
of infinity exterior to the subject,

the expensive, outgoing movement
towards a Divine Light,

the strange, formless absorption
in the Divine Dark to which
the soul is destined to ascend;

these modes of perception are
equally characteristic of
the illuminative way.
