Our Magnanimous God Poem by Dr John Celes

Our Magnanimous God

All those in jails are not all culprits true;
All those on bails are not all innocent;
All those in frocks are not true priests either;
All those who walk are beggars truly not.

The Lord our God is relenting a God;
The Lord our God is reminding our sins;
The Lord our God is reforming persons;
The Lord our God is resolving problems.

God’s mercy is a thing almost boundless;
God’s anger is slower than we expect;
God’s ruthlessness is unimaginable;
God abhors sins abominable.

God saves all souls who ask Him for His help;
God’s glad when sinners ask His forgiveness;
God hates all atheists, fools and all those proud;
God is our loving Father to us all.

Really nice. It's impossible to describe God, but you've done a pretty good job of it.
