Our Foundation Poem by Esther Hadassah Sendeza

Our Foundation

Rating: 5.0

Will you love me through anything?
I want to know,
Will the fire burn us?
Consume us? Until we are no more?

Will the tide perhaps take over?
And leave us breathless...
Will the oceans drown us,
Then spit us out to the shore?

What about the tumble weeds,
Tell me if we will get so caught up,
Intertwined, twisted, or maybe tangled?
Engulfed by the weeds,
That we forget about us,
Forget about what made us,
Forget our very own vows?

How tight is our grip,
How far can we go?
What is our foundation?
Will it stand when the win

Passionate utterances set aside for honest reflection. Deep feelings beautifully expressed with clarity of thought and mind. Thanks for sharing and do remain enriched.
