Our Colors Fade Poem by G J Salgado

Our Colors Fade

Take my hand let all your colors fade into mine
We'll disappear and forget about time
Roaming with you was the best time I ever had
It took away all the pain no longer left feeling sad
I witnessed everything as I saw what you became
You didn't recognize me and forgot your own name
Holding all the fireflies in our hands we would catch
You loved to stare at me and play with my mustache
Now we've grown old and it's time to go home
I will return or roam anywhere with you as long as I'm not alone
