Oromidayo Poem by Ifeoluseyi ifeoluwapo Ifeyemi

Oromidayo

A sprouting rosebud of loveliness,
En- filling the hollows of a troubled soul.
An enigmatic embodiment of inspiration,
Vast greens of my poetic exploration.
Memories made mindlessly,
Yet have grown endlessly.
Sitting loosely chaired,
Enticing the desirable dark night,
In silent sonorous whispers,
Of lurking encirclement of emotions,
Betraying the counsel of the faith.
I do not intend to be lewd!
Nor like the prodigal so rude,
Life is but a fancy fare!
In alll for one you must care.
So spare sanctimonious sympathies,
For those whose oaths abideth in the Vatican.
Ooh no! she isn't a cedar!
Yet like the ancestral Iroko she's turned my pillar
What else shall i mutter,
If not the chants of OROMIDAYO
