Optimism Poem by Kathy Lippard Cobb

Optimism

a four leaf clover sprouts
from a crack in the pavement—

desperately trying to make it out—
seeking freedom from its enslavement

caught in the middle of a drought—
wanting relief from its depravement

three feet away from the waterspout
