Open Door Poem by Ima Ryma

Open Door

While driving thru Safari Park,
Some folks stopped by me in their car.
Watching, one of them did remark,
'I can picture you as a star, '
And started filming me by phone.
I went over to check it out,
Wanting my best side to be shown.
The closer, the better - no doubt.
The car window was grimy, so
I gave the folks a better view.
The folks seemed upset, doncha know,
What did they expect me to do!

I guess they'd never seen before,
A lion open a car door.
