Only You Poem by Pema Yonub

Only You

Rating: 4.0

Only you
If I could avail by beseeching, I could have beseeched glee for you.
If I could meet you by running, I could have run earth to the sky.
I may not be able to shower flowers through the path you are walking,
But would definitely clear the thorns around, so smile…
If I could get by buying, I would have sold myself…
I would have comfort you by suffering myself.
Where you step your feet, that place becomes the paradise of mine.
Without you for a while, my breath gets struck in my gullet.
If I could get you by choosing, I would have chosen you for every generation.
By crossing the rivers of generations, I offer this generation to you.
I have flowers in my hand; I have melodic words to be shared.
In dreams I am happy, in reality I cry. What is my life without you?
Your sparkling smile, delicate look and charming attitude mirrors in me.
My mind is getting ablaze of thinking that.
Like doves over the opposite hills, don’t let me look from the faraway hills…
Like a shadow, let me follow you. Like a raindrops, let me hide in your clouds.
Even if we are engulfed by the torments, we would be ecstatic looking each other.
I won’t promise the stars and moon but shall tie the knot of love…
You have seen the ground of my love like the paradise above.
I won’t promise the queenly hall but will offer the room of my heart.
I won’t promise to keep you always in bliss but will never let your single drop of tear to fall…
So, I need you not because you are beautiful, I need you because I love you.
Only you! ! !
