One is an important number.
I think a lot of people take it
For granted.

One person got the sack from work

One person
blew up a bridge
got bullied at school
turned the mood sour.
mugged an old granny
declared war
committed murder
killed thousands,
millions

Yet one person

gave birth to you
kept a family together
fed you
kept you alive
organised a funeral
taught you to drive
discovered them self
gave hope
made you laugh
made you cry
posted a letter
told a lie
taught you to live
taught you to die
wrote a poem
wrote a song
did a fart
made a pong
gave inspiration,
to help you along.

It only takes one person to change the world,
Even if it’s ever so slightly.
Every thing you do at any given moment
Calls for a reaction
Everything matters

You matter.

Now go my friend,
go and change world
for the better while I
light up another cigarette
and carry on
contemplating.
