Once In Summer-Time Poem by Martins Akhoeneto

Once In Summer-Time

We woke up this day,
Strictly guided by sweet hands
That nurtured our fond love
Caressing the mind in beauty,
Remembering every tip and bit
Recounting scenes of twosome plays
With a smooth smile of positives
Each time, each and every moment.

Walking through this sandy beach
As our hands clamp the other
Like a boat anchored for safety
We sun bath with sweet cheers
Making our cheeks swollen with laughter
So intense, that all admirers marvel
As if we were infected indeed,
With a new laughing disease.

But when the crowd confront us
When the fast flowing sea shall rise
When it returns it bowels
And throw at us, our fate
Right at our feet it sweeps
Will you rise to the morning sun?
Will you ignore shame, trusting me?
And stay anchored, in a love unending?
