On Loneliness Poem by Matthew Holloway

On Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

It's a slow painful existence
Full of sleepless nights
And intoxicated hours
Trying to numb that feeling
Trying to forget every rejection
Trying to not be yourself
Escape from the reality
You have become mired in
The company of a friend
Or family member
Is never the same
As being held in that way
You are beginning to forget
Loneliness consumes the soul
And kills the heart eventually
And somehow, someway
You just try to exist
Until tomorrow

Loneliness consumes the soul And kills the heart eventually.........yeah; sometimes loneliness brings nothing but bitterness in life like the dying soul

I sympathize with you, for I am lonely, too.
