On Hope Poem by Taylor Roberts

On Hope

Blind hope shall only bring pain,
in the sense that placing hope on
something and considering it another,
knowing that such a metamorphosis is never to be,
this is how the fool carries hope.
Yet the wise man, understands what is
before him, and sees what it is as what it is,
and simply by having that,
he is able to survive with hope,
as what he has is what he aims to keep.
