On Each Other We All Do Depend Poem by Francis Duggan

On Each Other We All Do Depend

You can make the World far better to live in by trying for to live as a far better you
Treat others with respect and to them be kinder you will be remembered for good things you do
Despite what many do say we are all codependent to live on each other we all do depend
The people who work in the supermarket you may not know them but they perform you a service as if they are your friend
Those who tell you that they are truly independent are people who does believe in their own lie
They too does depend on others in some way and will have to do so until their time comes to die
Those who say they are independent in their thoughts are arrogant since they have to be arrogant to speak in this way
And arrogant people they are in the many and doubtless you do meet with them every day
They do realize that they depend on their motor mechanic for to service and fix their expensive car
Because they have plenty money to pay for this service does not tell us of how independent they are
The monarch the wealthy celebrity, president and billionaire are not independent though with this assumption they assuredly would disagree
For services rendered they are not independent in this respect no different to you and to me
despite what many do say we are all codependent in this respect no different to live on each other we all do depend
The people who work in the supermarket you may not know them but they perform you a service as if they are your friend.
