On Choices Poem by arundhati sinha

On Choices

Rating: 2.5

As i walk away
From these walls that
Breed mediocrity.
Shunning the destiny
which almost forced itself
upon me.
I look back for a moment,
At those lying faces,
at the faces being lied to.
I see confusion and wonder.
I see contempt and envy.
The last vestige of fear, indecisiveness
bid me farewell.
Ah! to be in control,
thus carefree.
