Oh, Moons Of Longing That Roll Poem by Dollie Radford

Oh, Moons Of Longing That Roll

OH, moons of longing that roll
Through the warm summer sky,
Your fires are burning my soul
That have left you so cold,
Oh nights that prison me fast,
In whose beauty I die,
Your spells about me are cast,
I am lost in your hold.
My heart is pressed to the springs,
And the passion of life,
My heart is bared to the stings
And the anguish of death,
My pang of knowledge is deep
As the seas in their strife,
And big the tears that I weep
With the salt of their breath.
