Oh! Maria . . . Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr...fjr

Oh! Maria . . .

Rating: 5.0

Intrinsically, Maria ripped and swept
through every Island, town and village
inside, outside Puerto Rico
angry storm witch carried death
within the Eye of her hell born path,

and Mother Nature watched helplessly,
autumn soil, now shallow, verdant graves-
that brought Mother Earth to her shaken knees,
while Father Time moved on with indifference,

for that's what Time must do to maintain balance,
some formula they say that Moon and Planet Nine,
takes bird in hand to carnage every autumntide;
thought I saw a silver lining...'twas just a comet.

Maria ripped and swept through every Island, town and village. Death of mother gave deepest sorrow and pain. Eyes carried tears of agony and separation. Mother Nature watched helplessly. This was a thought provoking situation. Time must do to maintain balance. We should watch and obey time's path. This is excellently penned poem you have shared that caries grief...10
