Oh Lord Dear God

Rating: 5.0

Oh Lord my God I’m in distress
I’m burdened down with sin
Please hear me as now confess
How the foe my soul could win

I know of You and Jesus Christ
I know of Heaven as well
That Jesus once You sacrificed
To save man’s soul from hell

But not mine Lord surely not me
So dreadful things I’ve done
Far too ashamed for You to see
Or Jesus Christ Your Son

Oh yes! I know that Christ’s alive
I know He lives though yet
I know I too could death survive
If I would pay my debt

How can I pay for all my crimes?
Such filth until today
If I could live ten millions times
I still could never pay!

That’s why I’m here that’s why I came
If I have understood
I heard that love! Could take my shame
When washed in Jesus’ blood

Oh Lord my God can this be true?
Can this be done for me! ! ?
Though countless times I‘ve grieved You
You’re willing to set me free?

How can You have such marvellous love?
Even for such as I?
Could still this sinner rise above?
And live beyond the sky?

A great ten poem! For the love of Jesus our Lord and God up high is true.. Your love for our Father, one, is faultlessly and through and through. It is obvious your love for him. A heart so true and pure. Jesus was the one, All evil men's all cure. God bless us all-MJG.
