Oh, I've Asked From Zodiacal Constellations Poem by Peter Mamara

Oh, I've Asked From Zodiacal Constellations

by M. Eminescu (1850-1889)

Oh, I've asked from zodiacal constellations
— The maker of my fate —
For the pomegranates of your bosoms,
And for your head bathed in sunrays.

And that your waxy hand
Shall stroke my cold head.
I've asked for your pale face in blond hair
And your stubborn green eyes.

And today, of your own free will,
You fall willingly into my arms.
And you lean on my shoulder
— Your head bathed in sunrays.

Today, you offer me your sweet lips
— Of your own free will.
My fate gave to me all these
With top amount, and plus.
