Oh, How I Want To Press Escape Poem by Chris Newlash

Oh, How I Want To Press Escape

Rating: 5.0

Oh, how I want to press escape
To leave this life and all mistakes.
To press the button, how I dare
To wake up and be elsewhere.

Oh, how I want to press delete,
To remove all things that block my feet,
That stop me from walking straight.
To press delete, I can't wait.

Oh, how I want to click undo
To make me happy, not so blue.
To try and fix all I've done wrong,
Refresh the page, and carry on.

Oh, how I wish to copy and paste,
Other’s lives that they just waste.
Duplicate all that they have
And give it to me so that I'm not sad.

Oh, how I yearn to press control.
I'll never learn, I overload.
Make things easier, make things smooth,
Make it able for me to move.

Oh, how I want to press snooze,
To dream forever, ‘cause I lose.
To sleep all day, to sleep forever,
How I want to wake up better.

Oh, how I want to press end.
No longer wanting to pretend.
Oh, how I want to push the break.
Oh, how I want to press escape.
