Oh Captain! My Captain! Poem by Suzanne Hayasaki

Oh Captain! My Captain!

Hey there, sailor!
Why are you staring like a child?
Have you never seen a woman
Wearing nothing but a smile?

What's that, captain?
I read the meaning in your eyes.
You'd like to run your ship aground
Between my nut-brown thighs.

Well, now, stranger!
What is that I see?
Your little captain standing
At attention just for me?

Hey there, handsome!
Some things are best left unsaid.
Just take my hand and follow me.
No treaties need be read.

So make love to me, sweet Queen's man,
Right here upon the beach.
You must be aching for a woman's touch
After months spent out at sea.

Oh Captain!
My Captain!
You are rocking me just right!
I hope you have the stamina
To love me through the night

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a tongue in cheek poem playing on the title of Walt Whitman's famous poem. I also incorporate:

"The only sea I saw Was the seesaw sea With you riding on it. Lie down, lie easy. Let me shipwreck in your thighs."
― Dylan Thomas, Under Milk Wood
