Of Love Poem by Maor Lain

Of Love

Of Love I know nothing
I know only of you
The insecurities that you offer
All because someone made you suffer
Maybe it was the world, yes
It must have been the world
My dear cute rose
I must apologize and
I know your words to be
That I’ve done nothing
Among the horrors outlived
To reason your flightless future
But I must absolutely, have to
Do all bestowed upon me, learned.
I must use my words with intellect
And desire of unarmed surrender
I must apologize
That is all I have to give
In my meager attempt
To fix the invisible,
All I can never touch,
Because no one else will,
But I can, in my will, try
That by my years of confusion
In my mortality, I can
Strive, pursue your moments
Bring you laughter
Bring you joy
All that my body, will ever breathe
To think and pray for you
To see you yesterday, today, and later
If such a hope as a tomorrow is existent
I will be there just for you,
To see you in triumph
Or oblivion to one last bet
Of life or death on your routine,
You can count on you,
More importantly, you may count on me.
