Of a past summer day
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
Pink and blue colours
Are the skies in the afternoon light
It is summer
Time to be happy and carefree;

The scene of the Niagara vineyard
Is picturesque with its splendid greenery
Purple grape bunches with their fruity aroma
Luscious in their appeal;

Cool summer days beckoning to us
With their wines, sparkling white, vibrant red and vivid rose
Blending in the summer greens, both viridian green and sap green,
With the rosy skies and the ochre sun
With its wind eased lemony taste
Making a romantic setting for our love
And I looked at the brown pathway from the restaurant patio
And delighted in its earthy feel.
