Ode To My Village Side River
February 22, 2019
O, river! By your fertile side I walked so much
Saw your nature laughing with me does face
With long fields full of colorful crops,
Where wind always blows over tender grass;
On your bank the laughing faces of the farmers
Smiled with long stories in tender voice,
Around nowhere, caught my sight, found noise;
But charmed me a heap of dreams and thrills;
Your every atom of sands did kiss my feet
And touched my both hands every ear of wheat,
Your crystal clear water captured my image
And drinking it I quenched my thirsty organs;
I told you, o, dear river! Again I would come
By your sweet side with blessings quiet and calm
To taste your presence, the air full of fragrance
Cute birds' chirping full of enchantments.
I love such river poems. This is a great river poem. A perfect Ode is well penned. Her every atom of sand kisses feet. A great imagery of village river is drawn with greatness and expression is very perfect. Thank you very much for sharing this lovely tribute poem with us...10
