October Is Almost Here (Double Bussokusekika) Poem by Edwin Tanguma

October Is Almost Here (Double Bussokusekika)

October Is Almost Here (Double Bussokusekika)

Here's a silly thought
Lake Cachuma is falling
Its at eight percent
What percent is potable
There is no need to worry
October is almost here

Surely it will rain
And we'll have water again
What if it doesn't
Can we make it five more months
We'll just have to wait and see
There's still no sign of my seal

P.s.This is just a silly poem about a local water
situation here in Santa Barbara County in CA...
Though some have there own 2,000,000 gallon
per day private desal plant...Oh well...I guess
some don't have a care in the world...Shoot...
Some even have deep private wells...Go figure...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Some say that desperate people do desperate things...I wonder how desperate things may become here locally if we don't get much rain? ? ?
Anywho...It could be worse...After all...Lake Cachuma is still at 8 percent of capacity...hehehe...Looking on the bright side...It usually starts to rain here locally in less than 2 months from now...
And Santa Barbara, and the surrounding area, is still getting close to half of its water from the state water project I believe... Shucks...If Porterville can make it...I am certain we can too...Can't we? ? ?
