Ocean/Body Poem by Nicholas Peter

Ocean/Body

Your body's an ocean
I could swim for days.

Your breath is a breeze
of cool air and salt
lingering on my tongue.

The moon moves you
as your femoral artery
moves me.

I am a slave in your waters
the mermaid kiss of bliss,
and prison.

Your body's an ocean
and I drink even if I shouldn't.
