O' Soldier, Don'T Tell Me You Fought A Battle

O' soldier don't tell me you fought a battle.
That wrangles of words, this mine that your's,
Who's bullets bended, who's arrows offended,
One's dead sob or other's drums rattle.

Don't tell me, how two spotted jackel ferociously fought,
How cunningly a monkey ate the bread belongs to cat,
How a mad elephant destroyed a civilized village.

I had heard before those stories
My Grand ma used to tell me at dusk.

Don't tell me what a herculean deed you did.
How you single handedly scratched the evergreen field.
Soldier, Hercules is known for his 12yrs labour; his slavery.

If you are courageous enough
Say you can gaze just once
At Medusa's face.
Can you ask Arjuna's Gandiva from him.

Soldier, do you know
How many pillar needs to uplift
The heavy load of a sacrifice.
I know he was dead
But 'late' is never written before his name,
Who had dipped his soul into a cup of poison for mankind;
Immortal socrates.

Now also if you are longing to tell something
Then narrate to me again like Grandma,
The sacrifices of devotional Savitri,
The story of pure Damayanti,

O' soldier but don't tell me you fought a battle
