O.C.D. Destiny Poem by the hobbler

O.C.D. Destiny

4 walls, a ceiling, and a covered window instead of bars - my nursing home cage.
....and I can hear it!
on and on it plays, over and over again! a relentless high pitched, synthetic, flute - like muzak pumped in over the nursing home speakers! - the sound of a bird attacked by a rodent! .
.and it keeps on playing playing, playing,
it never stops for even a moment.

I beg the care givers to turn it off
but they tell me theres nothing playing,
yet I hear it!  hear it!
echo echoing
ba ba ba bouncing,   ba ba ba bouncing
off the walls of my cell cage wall
, till I can bear it no more.
I cover my ears
but my mind reconstructs that caphaconic rift
out of ordinary sounds -
water running, car sirens, brakes screeching, people screaming!
  WHERE THE HELL
is it coming from I ask!
WHERE THE HELL is it coming from!

' 'Dah dah daah, dah de de dah, dah dah daah, DEEE dah.
Dah dah daah '
'
AND on and on it plays! over and over! hour after hour! day after day!
RELENTLESSLY!
leaving me utterly insane

.....my O.C.D destiny
