Now Peace Is Such A Kindly Word Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Now Peace Is Such A Kindly Word

Now peace is such a kindly word
And yet it is so rarely heard,
While evil ones like that of war
Are sadly heard a whole lot more.

If we were good and we were true
Then we would know what we must do,
And thus proclaim that love is all
We need or else, we'll surely fall.

So we must trust and we must pray
And maybe then we'll see one day,
The world become a better place
And one that's filled with good and grace.

We all must try and not give in
To change our ways and never sin,
And learn to turn the other cheek
If peace is what we long to seek.

I'm sure it is, I'm sure you know
That peace not war's the way to go,
I beg you now if you agree
Lay down your arms and follow me.

The road is hard, the way is long
We can't give in and must be strong,
If we stand firm and we believe
Then we shall have no cause to grieve.

Now peace is such a kindly word
And yet it is so rarely heard,
So shout it out so loud and clear
And hope one day, that all shall hear.
