Flowers appear on the earth
where sullen gravestones once dwelled
and no fear will follow you here,
where we've lain in deer beds
anointed by dew, and
the spider's web guarded our dreams.
I have given myself over to your
plight, to your unfettered hope
and nothing remains but a rekindled sun
grazing the horizon, touching our bodies
in their bareness
Your hands are vein rivers upon my head and you
look up at me and say
'now is the time of
mutual awakening,
despondence is unwelcome here'
I have unraveled myself before you, and
we are alive in an undying moment
Reborn without regret.
