Nothing Left But Crying Poem by Bill Simmons

Nothing Left But Crying

Rating: 5.0

As I stumble from my bed
With thoughts still running through my head
From yesterdays…
Trying to understand
What it is about a man
When a woman walks out his life one day

There is nothing left but crying
Feels like something
Inside dying…
Don’t know if it is the heart
But know for sure it rips apart
What once we were

Staring at the ceiling
Laying all night
Not sleeping…
And then we see the sunrise
And then again to our surprise
Another day we somehow made it to

Then we do walk
Through the day
We stand tall…
Till the darkness over comes us
And the memories remind us
Of a love that we had and once knew

There is nothing left but crying
Feels like something
Inside dying…
Maybe so it is the heart
That each day it breaks apart
Until there’s nothing left but lonely you

There is nothing left but crying
Feels like something
Inside dying…
As another day we make it through
And as inside we hide the truth
As the loneliness it changes what once was you.
