Not Abandoned Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

God works in
and through us.
From the way
we treat our
fellow human beings
one could be
forgiven for
believing that
God does not exist.

Our world is
ravaged by war,
man against man,
woman against woman,
child against child.

The poor are dying
of hunger and thirst,
the naked remain so,
negativity circles
our world and the
cries of human distress
ring in our ears.


God has NOT
abandoned us.
WE have abandoned Him!
