Nomad Poem by Dave Shemeley

Nomad

Like a Nomad walking this land...days on end, I'll forever stand
Along that land something to say...what makes others quit even on this day
This day will turn to night...evil lurks about, live within the inner light

The light is strong, forever shining it will be...makes no sense to worry, no longer in me
Continue the journey thru test and time...always standing tall, even in this rhyme
Sand storms will come, this is true...step after step, inner peace no more blue

Look to the brightest of all the stars...cut me down, I shall heal my scars
Howling wind that chills the bone...may be a Nomad but never alone
An oasis is out there, oh so real...appreciate it more, know how to feel

Past is gone, should not be redone...believe in thyself, my youngest son
Thoughts and memories are with us to stay...crippling your soul only you can say
Walking tall, head held high...tired of the land, I'll soar in the sky

Doubt me if you must, can feel it in you...virus of the drama is your flu
When you're tired of all that shame...know I'm the truth, not the one to blame
One day no longer a desert land...no longer a nomad, we're walking hand in hand

Owner of the hand in mine, tough to tell...price on our souls? , they're never for sell!
