Noel sleeps in an awkward position.

His body is folded, with his head touching his paws.

His tail encircles his long legs.

Hearing coming footsteps, he narrowly opens his eyelids.

Then he falls back to sleep

And resumes his afternoon nap of early Spring.

Suddenly, Ashes comes in this room.

Ashes swings her body to jump up on the chair and embraces Noel.

While holding Noel, she licks his hair.

Noel responds by hugging Ashes more tightly.

So eventually they embrace each other

Such a happy moment for both cats.

NOEL NẰM NGÙ CHÈO QUEO - Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD


Noel nằm ngủ chèo queo

Thân mình cuộn lại, đầu kề bên chân.

Đuôi thì ôm sát chân dài

Nghe bước người tới nhẹ mhàng hé mi.

Thế rồi mèo lại thiếp đi

Tiếp tục giấc ngủ buổi chiều đầu Xuân.

Tình cờ Ashes vào đây

Nhún mình nhẩy ghế ôm chầm Noel.

Vừa ôm vừa liếm Noel

Noel đáp lễ ôm thêm chặt vào

Thế là hai đứa ôm nhau

Phút giây hạnh phúc biết là bao nhiêu.
