Noel Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

Noel

Rating: 4.9

Noel was born in the wild

He was so lucky that he is alive.

Inside the house, he now has a very comfortable life.

He has plenty of time to eat, sleep, rest and climb.

Ashes befriends and accompanies Noel

She licks his hair and licks his paws

She hooks Noel with her gentle paws.

Two cats play wrestling many times

They rest in separate rooms after their draws.

Tired of resting, they roam around.

They hide and seek behind the doors.

Sometimes, Ashes runs and plays by herself.

Seeing that, Noel suddenly jumps out to join the play.

Two cats grab each other by their mouths

Accidentally, the bites are too rough and Noel cries for help.

Noel runs and hides under the bed

He blinks his half-closed eyes as a gesture of thanking my wife.

Ashes also stops playing,

She goes to another room and curls herself on the cat tower.

NOEL

Noel sinh ở bụi bờ

Số còn cao lắm nên còn sống nhăn

Giờ đây thoải mái trong nhà

Khi ăn, khi ngủ, khi nằm, khi leo.

Ashes làm bạn, đi theo

Liếm lông, liếm cẳng, khều khều Noel.

Chúng chơi vật lộn thường xuyên

Xong rồi lại nghỉ, nằm riêng góc nhà.

Nằm chán chúng lại đi quanh.

Nấp sau cánh cửa dò thăm tình hình.

Ashes chơi nhảy một mình

Noel thấy vậy, lộ hình nhẩy ra.

Hai con vui vẻ cắn nhau

Cắn lâu đau quá lại van cứu người.

Noel VỘI nấp gầm giường

Lim dim chớp mắt thay lời cám ơn.

Ashes cũng bỏ cuộc chơi

Đi qua phòng khác, lên chòi nằm queo.

Thank you for adopting Noel to be friend with Ashes. If the cats could become friends, why can't everyone?

I like this poem because it reminds me of our adopted yellow tabby cat, Puff, our children had. He became friends with our golden retriever/schnauzer dog the blizzard of 1996, when they had to share the garage together. If they could become friends, why can't everyone?
