El Paso,
Today,
The Horror Of It All! !
How can we even
Write, poetry
Love, anything
When horrors,
Like this occur!
Innocence,
Murdered,
In the most cowardly,
Despicable way,
In a sub-human,
Everything way!
Happens to often
In the home of the
Brave,
Now more cowardly,
Than brave,
Let's mourn.

And tomorrow, make
Sure to hold,
This society accountable,
And the murderous causes
Found and defined,
This is no way to live,
The root of this Evil must
Be uprooted,
Otherwise we are all
As a people, as a country
Doomed!
