No Hope Poem by Cati Walthall

No Hope

There's no hope
in a life so dull
Because depression happens on sunny days
Just as much as depression happens on days with no light
If and when it hurts so much
What keeps me breathing
Maybe I waste breath just trying
And maybe I just wasn't meant to be born
I'm ill and there's no way around it
I don't want to suffer like I do tonight
don't know how far I am from falling
But I know it's within the next few steps if I don't do this right
