No Greater Force Than Nature Poem by Francis Duggan

No Greater Force Than Nature

The creative powers of Nature I regularly do see
And her unrivalled beauty is living close to me
In every flower and blade of grass in shrub and bush and tree
The mother of creation and none as great as she
No greater force than Nature she rules the sea and land
And she is quite complex in her ways and quite hard to understand
And nothing that humans can build that she cannot easily break
The mighty ocean she can rock and the ground she moves and shake
When she starts to get angry she can cause havoc in the town
She can uproot strong mature trees and blow the roof tiles down
But most times she is gentle as gentle as can be
And unlike all of her life forms not for her mortality
Our amazing Earth Mother will live forever more
And what has been said of her that has not been said before
