Nine Miles From Munich Poem by Mason Maestro

Nine Miles From Munich

One thousand miles of sea and desert overcome by flow
A lonely restitution of dusty roads, pomp and show
Seek a thousand havens, once or twice removed
Maintain no discomfiture, western culture comes unglued
Nine miles to Budapest, perhaps it will do
Upstream the Danube, swaths of men
Break off to Vienna
To Zagreb, to Ljubljana

One thousand miles of sea and desert overcome by flow
A lonely restitution of dusty roads, pomp and show
Seek a thousand targets, twice or thrice removed
Maintain to displeasure, Middle East vultures misconstrue
Nine miles to Munich, assured it will do
Up the E52, swaths of men
To follow-up on an early conquest
Advancing agendum, fill the bill
