Nightmares Again Poem by Mitchell Greenwood

Nightmares Again

Rating: 2.0

I'm having nightmares again
Heart racing, troublesome visions
It's dark, I'm alone

I am sinking in quicksand
My hand outstretched
People wave and smile
And walk on by

The world is angry with me
Spinning off its axis
I am reaching out
Seeking comfort

No one is there
Only the yelling
Distraught and dismayed
I'm having nightmares again

These days I avoid sleep

I love reading your work... It's so powerful, so moving, and I seem to relate to it... Somehow.. I'm not sure what it is. Back to your poem... It's amazing. Imagery, emotion, drive, vigor, purpose... Amazing. Warmest Regards, Eliza Stine

Have you tried earplugs? JK..Actually, if this be auto-bio, it is quite disturbing, yet very well delivered.Solace is a state of being one must dig deep for sometime, but a state of being that one must never end their serch to obtain..Solid Write Mitch! ~ FjcR ~
