Nightmare Poem by Ragy Sandid

Nightmare

What begs the question
In a nightmare?
Do we release demons
That don't dare

Touch us in the daytime
Because we're too busy
It's convenient for them
To wait till we're dizzy

What do we unleash
From the realms of our mind?
Why do we remember
Our vision of the undivine?

Why suddenly scared
What triggers the fear?
What makes us think
There is something to fear?

Yet fear is full on emotion
That requires resurging
Maybe the nightmares
Are purification purging

It is preferred that
No nightmares occur
Yet occur they do
To reset reality's rapture

When remote, it is sensed
A sense of serenity
Yet when come they will
A question is about tenacity
