Night-Light Poem by Rokket Grrl

Night-Light

Tie this rope ladder to the stars so we can climb to them
Let's let our own story change what will happen
Let's poke holes in the black blanket of night
And wrap it around us, and hold me tight
It'll keep us warm from Jupiter cold breezes
And will change the way the world sees us
We rock back and forth in the crescent of the moon
And simply goof off till on mercery it's noon
Let's run, jump and play on Venus's heart
And fly through the black holes as they tear time apart
In space it's always dark, and darkness can bite
So let's make sure we turn on a light
