Night Hunter Poem by The Punk Poe Michelle Rice

Night Hunter

'Night Hunter'

Fear evil appetites lusting destruction
Haunted by a silver moonlit seduction

Hiding the shadows a deadly whisper
Numbness from an unforgiving winter

Shooting stars linger deeply in slumber Midnight echoes beware the night hunter

Off to bed with you little children of twilight
No dreams will terrorize your sleep tonight

The sandman is coming to take your hand
Smiling faces smeared with biscuits & jam

Lullabies soothe the wildest savage hearts
Silent whispers consuming our dark parts

Nothing but vacant burrowed deep inside
Every dream I dreamt carved open wide

Just wishing for once that someone cried
Burying every bone gripping to my pride

Always Be Punk…
Always Be Drunk…
