Neverland Poem by Romesh De Silva

Neverland

The world is full of surprises
Neverland’s sands never the same, its destination I can't find it
My eyes wander through space
Earth in this universe, just a taste
A perfect world, is always found
Laugh when you cry, a unique sound
Smile when you die
Say goodbye, my angel, my eyes, my heart’s lullabies
Be truthfully tragic to those you love, they may hurt, they may hate, they may twist one’s faith
Blood may trickle from your open heart
Don’t judge one’s life
Don’t be stabbed with one’s knife
I've been pulled together and pulled apart
I need to be healed from the inside out
Surrender, never!
This is me and Death’s final bout.
