Never Forever Poem by Sarah Moore

Never Forever

I'm terribly afraid
Of what you ask
Of having such responsibility thrown at me
Of being cast out into a world that doesn’t seem to care
Except for you
You will always care
Just in time to witness my downfall
And then just as I fall
Give my self over and give up
You will be there to pull me back
Forever
Even though I might say 'Don't save me,
Because I don't care'
You see the desperation in my eyes
And you know I don't mean it
You see I need you
This is my chance
I won't let you fall
I'll bring you back
From the utter wastes and shear cliffs
That seems to define reality and our small place in it
But what is 'reality'
Surely ours isn't the same as everyone else=s
It can't be...
I won't except that
Never
For forever
