Never Ever Poem by Alyssa ArtsLover

Never Ever

Eternity...
Looks at us down as light
A bitter face hides behind a smile
Every moment it scatters before us
Like little morsels
We follow them like hungry birds-at the edge to die
By picking up the crumbs it sticks
In our throat and screams an oath
'Never ever'

Letters of blood...so silky and dark
They burn into dust

...But the little flaming scraps drift in our lungs-the air so deep and wast,
The waves of the exhaled past...

And its gravity fails to hold us tight
Finally we're freed from its claws
We go further
Where it can not reach us

Eternity...a single word
All the slowly passing moments
Are just blinks of an eye
Gulps-From suffering to a fastly quenched thirst

However it still torments..in vain
The spark in the chest never will turn to flame

My heart no longer plays its marry song
Picks her lute dressed in dense smoke
In her sky your star doesn't look back at her
In her garden the flowers don't bloom
The trees don't germinate more leaves
They nakedly sail in the light of the murky moon

This rough winter will not be summer
And one day if it will find the way home-but no!
Never ever!
